The Second 'Media Laboratory' for Students of Journalism Held in Kyiv

In September 12-15, 2017 the second Media Laboratory was held for 25 Ukrainian university students of journalism on the base of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Institute of Journalism.

In a four-day period participants learned about TV functioning from Liudmyla Fedorchuk, practical journalist, author and news program and analytical news program anchor at “Kyiv” TV channel, lecturer at the Department of TV and Radio – Broadcasting, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Institute of Journalism; about radio functioning from Volodymyr Rizun, radio journalist, President at the, Institute of Journalism, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University; about peculiarities of printed press and online editions from Andrii Yurychko, media trainer, journalist, lecturer at the Department of Periodical Press, Institute of Journalism, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.

Young experts created interesting journalistic materials and presented them on the 4th day of Media Laboratory.

It is worth saying that unlike the individual activity or work in groups at the other types of media, all participants prepared news of ‘Pravo’ (“Right”) radio-wave on the third day together with Volodymyr Rizun.

All event participants received methodological materials from the Academy of Ukrainian Press for the further professional development.
