Digital journalism: between politics and propaganda

In June, 29 червня – July, 3, 2016 the five-day seminar ‘Digital journalism: between politics and propaganda’ was held.  

Participants – 15 journalists, bloggers and representatives of media from Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

At the meeting participants discussed the importance of following professional, ethical and democratic standards without propaganda and ideological concerns as well as the quality of coverage considering the conditions of social and technical development.

Trainers:

Dr. Leonard Novy

Dr. Leonard Novy is a political scientist and journalist. He serves as co-director of the Institute of Media and Communications Policy, Berlin, and co-publisher of the German blog CARTA.info. Previously, he held positions at various think tanks and media organizations. He has published extensively on issues pertaining to international politics, media and democracy.

Christian Stahl

Christian Stahl works as political advisor, author and film maker and is, along with Leonard Novy, one of the Founders of European Leadership and Debate Academy.
