Articles of the 8th International Research and methodological Conference on media education and literacy are collected in these proceedings. Theoretical and worldview principles of media education and media literacy in pre-school education, at primary schools and general secondary schools are given here. Organization and management models for implementing media education are outlined. Media literacy as a teacher’s competence is explained. The publication allows to study the models of teaching media education and literacy at universities and teachers’ training institutions. Media literacy as a teacher’s competence, as one of mostly discussed topics in Ukraine, is introduced in the collection.
