The Kyiv Center for Journalistic Solidarity of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, at the request of the public organization "Center for Transatlantic Dialogue", issued 10 sets of protective equipment for a group of media representatives who came to Ukraine from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay, and Chile.

💪Accompanied by representatives of the Center for Transatlantic Dialogue, they plan to visit the frontline and deoccupied settlements of the Kharkiv region during the next week.

More than 200 media representatives have used the network of Centers for Journalistic Solidarity's free protective equipment rental service over the past year.

As reported by the SPILKA News telegram channel of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

"The safety of a journalist working in a combat zone is the priority of any media. We understand that journalists risk their lives and protective equipment should minimize the risks of injury or death," said Valeriy Ivanov, president of the AUP. "Protective gear is heavy and inconvenient for transportation, so the UPA and the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine decided to create centers for free rental for those journalists who are going to work at the frontline. We are grateful to our German partners for their support during the war and assistance in implementing our intentions."
